Hi @BeckyJ That's an unusual career combo but I like it. Welcome on board If you really want to experience the community, come to the main Powwow in the teepees in September.

We've found them to be OK although only really used them for property purchase SIPPs and buy and hold ISA GIA. They have improved since the early days as @Jona mentioned when we had similar issues. The tech team are very good now.

have you tried apporaching people direct on paraplanner directory? There's quite a few on there in same posiiton as you.

In that case I'd imagine the locum will need to set up TOB with the adviser before proceeding and you'll be out of the picture. In that case IMO it's more of a qualified introduction to a back up service rather than a locum. Still a good idea thoug…

@MikeM My thought was along the lines of agreeing data sharing and disclosure with the adviser client. Your TOB may say that you can share data with anyone you decide or it may not but I think you'd need to cover this off to avoid any issues. Have …

Thumbs up and down only works on comments not original posts. @Nathan if you do a comment we can show the love or not. We sit on several firms' investment committers and help with all parts of investment process & selection. The day to day st…

This is an interesting subject. How would it work from data protection?

Sounds like a good plan but would there be a restriction on being able to transfer if he defers past NRA?

The info you guys share on here never ceases to impress me. This is a great thread.

@Suse1969 we've got a long (and I mean long) follow up blog post with all this info and more in. Should be going live in next day or 2.

When we were a lot smaller I used Helen and she's fantastic at all that.

HI, several of our clients use Aviva for that type of client, especially with simpler investment options such as multi asset funds. In my experience it's a good option and I've not got any complaints.

@alex_lannin speaks a lot of sense there.

Have a look at the Twitter feed from @cunningham_uk from last night for some very useful stuff on DB transfers.

I've done CFP as have some of my colleagues. In recent years the marking process has been 'frustrating' to say the least and hopefully CISI are addressing that. It is a very useful process to go through as Matt says as it tests application of knowl…

Thanks for your suggestions. As we've only got an hour we'll not have time to cover the flexi-access drawdown stuff but we'll add that to the list of ideas for future ones.

@parawhat it's deterministic

Thanks for the comments.

There's quite a bit on both in here. Do a search for Selectapension and it'll come up.
