Hi @Danny79 & welcome. You've joined a great team at Argonaut.
-
Thanks. I've been using Cleft for getting stuff out of my head and it produces a really good, well structured transcript.
-
@benjaminfabi which tools are you using for transforming dictations. Are these your own dictations or someone else's given to you?
-
Thanks @benjaminfabi That's what I thought with 1982.
-
Thanks @les_cameron this one is RAS

A related case I'm working on: * client settled £5m of BR qualifying shares in their company A to trusts in early 2024 * holdover relief applied * client has £2m shares in another unquoted company B they own * whats the IHT/BR position …
-
Just so I'm 100% right on this, they will get 30% relief on the VCT contribution capped at the Income Tax charge at Step 5?

@benjaminfabi said: This is excellent @JonHallSWP - great resource. Many thanks I agree. This was a test post an online assembly and I think it worked well.

Thanks for answering those @JonHallSWP You're always welcome to stop by the Big Tent.

Here are all the questions submitted for the live event today that we didn't have time to get to. * What CPD is required to advise on protection? * Are there any care fees insurance products anymore? * Is rebroking still a thing? * Are GP re…

Hi @MariaEvans24 if you haven't seen it yet, you might find this useful to join.

Hi @CAMPritchard & welcome. You'll find lots of support here.

There are several Online Assemblies on CRPs in the archive. Just go to the Resources are of the website

@amarshall outsourced paraplanning firms can help with this (cough cough). We do a lot of this with our adviser clients.

@Wildparaplanner here's the link to the assembly: https://paraplannersassembly.co.uk/event/paraplanning-in-an-age-of-ai/

We always quote all the costs inc transaction fees. If you have FE, the MiFID tool pulls them all through.
-
FYI. We're recording a bite sized video on this shortly.
-
Hi @SamGibson We've prepared a guide to help advice firms with this. You can read it and download the supporting documents here.
-
The Worthstone portal allows you to filter based on those.

Hi @amelia1983 I used to work at Zurich and dealt with these. They were called Vista plans in most territories. Although they're called pensions, they're just offshore regular savings plans. Surrendering will be a chargeable gain if it's an individu…

If you haven't seen or heard it yet, we did a session on a paraplanner’s guide to neurodiversity which you can access here. It was inspired by this thread.

Been involved in a similar case before and agree with what @benjaminfabi says. We got the family solicitor involved as well and her advice was the same - these are associated/linked transactions (there is a technical term but I can't remember) with …

I have a case with similar issues although it's a SIPP and we're using Transact. Does need an intermediary to set up but you can remove yourself after although they do charge more for that.
-
Thanks @les_cameron
-
@Richard have a look at this WE built the guide based on things we'd been asked by compliance teams.
-
When we used Word we had the functions you mention (and more) built by Melanie at https://www.expertofficedocuments.co.uk/ She's fantastic and that could be a good option for you as it's more customisable than an off the shelf option.
-
Hi @Chris1 have a look at the Paraplanner Directory.
-
@Nath are you using a tool to work out the IRR? If so, which one? I get a slightly different return <5%.

Hi @JAMcKay have a look at https://paraplannerdirectory.com/#/
