Difference between CII and CISI

in CPD & Exams
Dear All,
can someone explain the difference between the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and the CISI level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice?
I am wondering which one I should do as an aspiring career changer - from investment fund researcher/analyst to paraplanner
Thank you!

Are you currently a member of the CISI?
Check out this old blog post from The Paraplanner Club, although note the costs are out of date - https://www.theparaplannerclub.co.uk/post/what-exams-do-i-need-to-become-a-paraplanner
I would personally recommend the CISI:-
1. 2 exams to obtain 'Certificate in Paraplanning' &
2. 1 more to obtain Level 4 'Investment Advice Diploma' (IAD)
A disadvantage is less 3rd party training for the CISI exams, e.g Redmill Advance however you get access to a lot of Structured CPD (Professional Refreshers & CISI TV).
