Two AF exams in same session?

I can't stand that there are so few opportunities to sit AF exams, and they tend to be set around tax year end which is madness!
I want to get AF4 and AF1 done (have done AF1 and failed before) so wondered what people thought if I attempt to do both in the upcoming Feb/March sessions? Possible?
Then I've just AF5 to do in October...

It is possible, but would require a lot of sacrifice.

I guess it depends on how close were you to passing AF1? If all you need to do is brush up on your knowledge, then you should have scope for both.

But if you're learning large parts of AF1 again, then it will be a struggle to also fit in AF4.

  • There isn't much crossover in tehnical content with AF1 and AF4 so it's a big ask and not one many candidates take on. May be worth considering taking AF5 with AF1 and leave AF4 for a later date - just a thought!

  • Last week's budget introduced changes in the kind of technical things that get tested in AF1 for high marks (like residency and domicile). If I were you I would want to pass AF1 before those changes feed into the testing regime if you've already got them learned. AF1 is also more technically challenging than AF4 anyway.

I would do AF1 on its own at the next sitting and then double up on AF4 and AF5. If you're feeling ambitious you could then sit J10 and/or J12 while you wait on the AF4 results. This gives you 40 additional diploma level credits for what is largely the same learning.
