A, AA and AAA. A being transactional only (non-MiFID), Not very imaginative but we don't use them in front of clients and don't (currently) have different charging structures for them.
-
Is that a provider who's set this out?
-
All of the above but I wouldn't describe the first one as client service admin - more client relationship management. Our PPs will be the client's first contact before they even think about speaking to the adviser in many cases, particularly ongoing.

We use Selectapension. Voyant announced their AdviserGo has a TVC earlier this week but I'm having logging in problems to check it out.

And Pru have something in their tech library. https://www.pruadviser.co.uk/knowledge-literature/knowledge-library/small-pots-defined-benefit-trivial-commutations/ "funds in excess of the commutation limit"

@arongunningham said: I think it's fine so long as the small pot isn't 'manufactured' after the protection was applied That's what OMW effectively do as you transfer into 3 x £10k pots.

We've found the answer (OMW application) "OMW will not pay a small pension fund lump sum from your account if you have enhanced protection, fixed protection (2012 2014 or 2016), or intend to apply for fixed 2016" So individual is ok. And it ma…

Aha, we did this at the last Scotland Powwow. https://paraplannerspowwow.co.uk/cashflow-due-diligence-at-powwow-north-of-the-border/ The Brooks pack is pretty good. We use Lang Cat information as one of our key sources of detail. We've used Ad…

It gets really expensive the lower the deferred period on group IP. I've only really seen short deferreds on executive IP.
-
Just had a look at the Rapid Reviewer with Selectapension. Meh. Prefer using FE and the investment planner there.
-
I agree with Dan. If you've got the right person to send the email to, it will definitely be seen and if there's something for the wider audience that's caught the eye, it will also be passed on.

Do any of the investments help? Insured funds might have the introducer?
-
We have one page sheet filled in by the administration team, and a collated table using the information from the one sheet. We try to make sure that the paraplanners look at the info first to explain to the admin team what's required (for example…

Expert Pensions also do AF4 but no experience of how successful it was as our team haven't used it. (AF1 and AF3 so far with good results and great feedback)
-
I'm keeping an eye on them as I agree, it's not up to the main tools yet but I get the feeling it might.
-
Thanks @richardgough I like "do a fudge". Isn't the CARE spreadsheet wonderful.
-
Weighted average - we have the individual charges held on file.
-
Thanks @benjaminfabi @Jona , yes that's exactly what I thought the answer was going to be but thought it worthy of asking just in case. Agree too about only using future values in Voyant.
-
That's what our aim is @Jona - using the client portal to send secure documents. Currently we offer the client whether they want bigger font (or background colour).

Just had a look at it. Seems like a lot of set up to prepare the cards specific to what your studying (I'm dong J07) but with the preparation you have to think about input so I think it might help for the one I'm doing. You can cut and paste into th…

@richallum said: I think it will be that for new trusts but the existing trust will be the pain point. Pain point indeed. Thanks Richard. We've also passed this on to our CA Tax Team to make sure they were aware too.

I'm not sure James Hay are particularly good with land purchase (well not in our experience). We used @SIPP for our most recent land purchase - similar to your situation.
-
Love this thread. We've just discussed it in the team and we all say written phrases out loud to check they make sense.
-
L&G came in and did a session for us.
-
Thanks guys. Yes Pru wouldn't confirm in writing, but exactly as @richardgough says, that's their argument. Personally I'd want to see evidence of it working first.

@timblowers said: This still works for me https://www.investmentsense.co.uk/accounts-for-pensions/ That's the one I use.

Same Glyn. We have an outsourced Compliance Manager but it's me who does the doing including T&C.

If you don't need a walk in service, we use Carrington Mortgages UK. Really good feedback - we introduce all our clients (and staff) to them. More knowledgeable in the Scottish market, but I'm sure we've referred clients in England to them too. http…

Set out exactly what you want from your CRM. Is it simply a recording tool or do you want to income match, gabriel report, use for client contact, secure messaging, valuations, price feeds, use as a full CRM etc. And then look at your processes to m…
