Looking forward to this tomorrow lunchtime.

Voyant is great. I actually built something in-house to do what we wanted how we wanted it. Key is to have an output that your clients can understand and therefore helps them make an informed decision.
-
Just to clarify. I'm travelling up on the morning of the main day - not the night before...

Not sure but sounds like Crowd Bonds. We have some info on our website https://eqinvestors.co.uk/investing/crowd-bonds/ (might be some more elsewhere too). The DD from the provider (Downing) is very detailed. We don't advise on them but have them av…

Still looking for the right person. Even if you are 1/2 exams off Chartered you might be just who we are looking for...

If you are interested please email your CV to careers@eqinvestors.co.uk No recruiters please.
-
Definitely interested in this.

We tend to go direct and hold them as a 'plan' because otherwise you are paying a platform charge for little reason (unless you can get better terms through a 'note'). When we have used a platform it has been investcentre

Have a look at this: https://www.royallondon.com/Global/documents/GoodWithYourMoney/TOPPING-UP-YOUR-STATE-PENSION-GUIDE.pdf Might help...

I think Aviva used to be in this market, but not sure now. I think you can filter to this on The Exchange?

@Suse1969 they are very quick to update their standard text. It can be quite a bullet pointy (and tabley) output which I liked (to an extent) but didn't go down too well otherwise. Can be a good starter but investing time in personalising is necessa…

We have used Genovo for a bit and now do our own templates. It is quite customisable but (as is possibly the case with PPOL) not so great if it is a complex case. They do know their stuff which helps and the technical sections are kept bang up to da…

I would do 2 as well for the same reason. Possibly would give an effective overall for the SIPP with transfer too.
-
At maturity you just get the £100 nominal. I think they are talking about buying more of the bond at the second date which would give a loss (depending on the coupon).
-
I hadn't heard about this. Worth calling a provider tech support (Canada Life and Standard Life would be good for this). Please share what you find out...

Hi. It is treated as 50:50 gifts from each settlor. If it is a discretionary trust then it is a CLT not a PET. May be worth splitting if it is a discretionary trust as you only get 1xNRB for periodic/exit charges to IHT and 1xStandard Band and 1xCGT…

I'd suggest working your way through the PFS diploma first as it's widely recognised (there are other routes). R01 is a logical place to start but be prepared that it is quite dry. Once you get it out of the way the other exams tend to be more direc…

I would probably speak to Rowanmoor, but guessing this may be the people you spoke to before? We recently had a presentation from http://www.daycooperday.com/ who might be worth talking to - I missed the session unfortunately. Not done one of thes…

If you need it the NI calcs can be done/checked etc with a HMRC tool too :-) http://nicecalculator.hmrc.gov.uk/Class1NICs1.aspx High 5 to @JoCHague (I think) for telling me about the HMRC Calculators
-
If anyone has a more elegant solution I would love to know
-
Sortof fixed this. The government has an online tool for payroll peeps to check PAYE calculations. So I am using that to work out the monthly IT cumulative! http://payecalculator.hmrc.gov.uk/
-
I would suggest having a chat with QROPS bureau https://www.qropsbureau.com/

Happy to share excel cashflow/matching/modelling/drawdown yield analysis techniques. This is proving to be more useful to our clients (and graphical) than the TVAS numbers.
-
Online sounds perfect. I went to an AXA session a year or so ago and it was really good! Not sure what the future holds for this team there though - John Haley did ours.
-
I think a DB transfer HowWow workshop is definitely in order - @richallum is this something that could be arranged?
-
We have used www.taxefficientreview.com in the past - Martin Churchill is very respected in these areas. EQ (who I work for) review the market using our investment specialists in-house. If you take a look at the Investing part of our website you'll…

Has anyone used Synaptics for this?
-
Hi. This is the reason many property funds are moving to the PAIF - Property Authorised Investment Fund - I believe. Some had gross paying share classes but needed the platforms to support it. It's a hot topic so do chat to the fund management group…

We trialled both side by side. Part is personal preference and style. We found Voyant more intuitive and preferred the graphical interface- especially in front of clients.

Our Lindsay will be representing EQ. Do say hi to her
