English courses

Does anyone know of any English language courses which would be useful for a trainee Paraplanner who speaks English as a second language?

True! However imagine trying to work out what the hell providers are talking about when its not in your brain language!!

Hi @SianDaviesCole other than any local English language courses and apps e.g. Duolingo, maybe having a look through a relevant text book could help to get used to the terms and meanings etc. Maybe even a GCSE/A Level business studies or Economics type one (could probably pick one up on ebay).

Or perhaps the Award in Financial Administration textbook depending on their level.

I guess making sure to write down terms they need to look up if they're unsure will also help to build on their knowledge & understanding too.

    Hope that helps!

thanks - good plan. They are currently going through the Diploma which helps but its receiving information back from providers that is an issue as they are often badly worded or use different terms!
