PI Insurance

Hi everyone!

Sorry if this question has been asked a million times before but I just wondered, where you have your own PI cover, what category did the insurer put you under?

I've just been speaking to Hiscox and they think outsourced paraplanning should fall under Administration Services.

Many thanks

Sam

    I don't have PI cover.

My clients indemnify all my work through my terms of service.

But if I did, as long as I had fully explained what I did, I'd be happy for the insurer to assign whatever category they saw fit. Administrations Services seems reasonable.

    Thanks Ben!

I have the clients indemnifying my work through my terms of business too but I'm just starting out and (to ease my nerves) wanted the protection of PI cover as well

I did explain the work I do in detail to Hiscox and they chose Administration Services, so that should be fine. I just wanted a second opinion - thank you!  :)

@Sam our PI is based on business type: Paraplanning. We're with Collegiate.

Paraplanner. F1, Apple, Nutella, ice cream. No trite motivational quotes. Turning a bit northern.
