Hi all
Does anyone have a passing knowledge on the operation of NZ investment funds and would be willing to offer 5 minutes to help impart that to me?!

In the UK an accumulation fund will have notional distributions which affect the original cost for gains purposes.
NZ doesn't have a general capital gains tax, so reflecting any retained/reinvested income is a little redundant for the purposes of capital gains.
I'm trying to ascertain what reasonable adjustments can be made to a UK resident client's NZ original costs (on the basis of retained income), and am just looking for someone who has a little more idea than I do about the different ways that investment funds work over there.
