Senior Paraplanner Role - £35,000 - Manchester City Centre

who are now looking for a standalone experienced Paraplanner to join our there based in Manchester City Centre. You will be responsible for full paraplanning support and will benefit from an environment that encourages and supports your professional development. For willing candidates, the opportunities around supervision and becoming CF30 are available.

The purpose of the role is to contribute to financial planning offered to our clients, taking into consideration their values, needs and expectations; whilst working in a mutually benefiting partnership with existing financial advisors and executives.

Responsibilities and Duties

Principal accountabilities include provide analysis, detailed research of funds and providers, report writing and product recommendations for presentation to clients and/or reports for sending to clients.

They are keen to support the development of our Co-owners and we provide financial support with exams all the way to chartered status. We also provide development opportunities within the firm. This enables us to provide consistent and transparent career pathways to all. We are employee owned business and the prospects to be involved in additional projects exist for those interested. This is an exciting time as we embark on a new journey with redesigned services and new processes currently in the design stage.

  • Candidates must have a minimum of one year Paraplanning experience involving suitability report writing preferably in an 'Independent’ firm
  • The ideal candidate will be at least Diploma qualified
  • Intelligent Office experience would be advantageous.

Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Outline of the role:

  • Preparing illustrations for advisers using various different websites and tools
  • Preparing financial reports and suitability letters with regards to the adviser’s recommendations in a compliant manner
  • Working knowledge of pension switching programmes would be very useful
  • Understanding of Personal Pension administration
  • Carry out technical research and analyse data collected on behalf of clients
  • Liaise with clients post meetings answering technical queries
  • Proactive in identifying investments opportunities for clients
  • Act as a centre of technical excellence and share the expertise with the wider team

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

  • One year experience in independent suitability report writing
  • Level 4 qualified
  • Enthusiasm for self - management
  • Absolutely critical to this role are high level literacy and numeracy skills, both written and verbal. Maths and English GCSE equivalent grades, B or above.
  • An aptitude for numeracy
  • Ability to deal with flexible work demands
  • A keen interest in financial planning
  • Operating knowledge of Excel
