One thing that people quite rightly bring up is that ethical/impact investing has historically been 'a bit vague' in reporting the impact they are having. Private Equity investors (and those using a bespoke DFM) have been able to do this, but it's rarely been possible for individual investors.
At the recent PowWow, and HowWow, I talked about how EQ are doing this for our clients (and other advisers through our DFM service). We have just launched our Impact Report for our model portfolios and I think it's a really interesting read. We understand that this is possibly the first time a UK wealth manager has produced this type of document for retail investors.
