Hello from Planning Works

Hi all,

I wanted to introduce myself and Planning Works, the outsourced paraplanning business I have recently established.

I’m a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the PFS, with extensive experience supporting HNW families, business owners and senior professionals with more complex planning needs.

My work is particularly suited to technically involved cases where different planning routes need to be explored, assumptions tested and the rationale developed collaboratively. This includes accumulation strategies, retirement and decumulation planning, intergenerational and estate planning, trust-related work, and detailed lifetime cashflow modelling.

I see my role as a second pair of eyes: someone who can engage critically with a case, identify possible solutions, test risks and trade-offs, and help build a clear and robust planning rationale, rather than simply document a predetermined recommendation.

I would be very happy to connect with fellow outsourced and freelance paraplanners to share experiences, collaborate, provide specialist or overflow support, or refer work between us where a case is better suited to someone else.

Equally, if anyone here is currently looking for support of this nature or knows an adviser firm or paraplanner who may benefit from it, please feel free to reach out. I would be very happy to have an informal conversation.
I’m based in Glasgow but work remotely with firms across the UK.
It would be lovely to get to know more people in this part of the community.
