Calculating CGT on shares

Hi there

Just wondering if someone could help, I am looking at some shares that have been held with a registrar for some time and we are currently looking to transfer them via re-registration.

Prior to this, I wanted to understand if we have all the information available to us in respect to the shares initially acquired etc so if the clients wish to sell the shares in the future we can assess the CGT position of the shares them.

We are struggling to obtain the information from the registrar however, my question is the shares are part of a re-investment scheme therefore the dividends are re-invested so it isn't as simple as using the share value at the acquisition date.

Can anyone provide any support/guidance on how we would look to calculate the CGT in this circumstance, taking into consideration the shares accumulated as part of the re-investment scheme?

Many thanks :)
