Hunt Financial Planning is looking for a new Paraplanner addition to their small team.
Having been part of a range of organisations from large to small, most recently I (Chris Hunt) have been an AR of a medium sized firm for just over three years. Until a year ago all services and staff support was organised through the Principle Firm. 12 months ago I dropped administration support services through the AR… and then there were two. An experienced Financial Services Administrator joined a 25-year experienced Financial Adviser.
We are now ready to let go of the paraplanner support services provided by the AR, making way for an experienced Paraplanner to join us.
We work primarily with higher net worth individuals and business owners, or those at/or approaching retirement, and coach them through the life and money decisions that they face.
We work remotely (both HuntFP and the Principle firm) so location is not an issue, however, we do have an office location near Bristol if required. We work together closely with MS Teams at the core of our day, we get to know each other well and we find the remote working feels not so remote.
A Paraplanner with HuntFP is far from simply a report writer. You will be fully involved in the client advice process; we have many longstanding relationships where we carry out annual:
- ISA, pension (including Carry Forward and DBSSAS), VCT and EIS planning.
- Regular IHT planning using Business Relief investment portfolios.
We have a good number of clients with property in pension, with complex annual tax planning requirements, gifting to family trusts, with circumstances requiring more than “product financial advice”.
We are closely involved in the financial lives of many of our clients and we are their goto professional for anything important in their lives.
We have a CIP that makes platform products and investment management relatively simple, however, we work with a wide range of product and service providers.
A Paraplanner with HuntFP will develop existing (or arrive with) a range of report templates for our most routine work and will ensure that the advice process remains compliant, efficient and easy for clients to understand. They will be a decision maker given the opportunity to manage projects for the wider client bank as well as cashflow and financial planning projects for groups of clients and also for individual client estates.
Experience is more important than qualifications (although Level 4 Diploma will be a minimum and likely you will be on the road to Chartered) where a successful applicant will be familiar with most of VCT, EIS, BR, DC pension transfers, platforms, cashflow modelling (Truth & CashCalc), Analytics, annual ISA/pension (EE and ER) contributions, BCEs, SIPP/SSAS/DBSSAS schemes, gifting, transitioning of BR to family trusts, as well as the more routine side of general financial planning.
This position could be 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
If you would like to talk please get in touch. We are keen to meet you and embark upon the next stage of HuntFP expansion.
