Enthusiastic, proactive paraplanner at Yellowtail Financial Planning in Exeter
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive paraplanner to join our growing team at Yellowtail Financial Planning in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and work to support our firm’s expansion plans. You’ll be supporting our two financial planners and the admin team alongside our current paraplanner. There is scope for the role to develop within paraplanning and to become an adviser to our growing client bank. We understand not every paraplanner wishes to be an adviser and we are happy to explore either option.
Salary range up to £50,000, depending on experience.
25 days holiday in addition to normal bank holidays.
Your main responsibilities will involve:
• Producing holistic financial plans using cash flow software for new and existing clients. Making client recommendations in collaboration with the financial planner.
• Communicating with financial planners and clients to understand clients’ needs.
• Researching and making suitable recommendations for clients.
• Writing concise suitability letters for clients.
• Making and implementing trade recommendations.
• Support the admin team in implementation of advice.
• Reviewing client portfolios for rebalancing and cash management.
• Supporting financial planner in preparing for annual reviews and recording and implementing outcomes.
• Keeping abreast of product and regulatory changes and share changes with the rest of the team.
• Reviewing and creating processes to improve efficiencies.
Essential skills and qualifications
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences without the use of jargon, both written and verbally.
• Good organisational skills
• Strong technical knowledge of financial products and taxation
• Flexibility and ability to learn and take on new ways of working.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong time-management and team-work stills.
• Self-starter – taking on tasks, asking for support where needed.
• Paraplanning experience
• DipPFS and working towards Chartered status
Desired skills and qualifications
• 3+ years paraplanning experience.
• Experience using cash flow software to produce financial plans.
• Experience using Curo CRM software.
• Ability to help produce concise templates.
