Paraplanner - Paradigm Norton (Bristol/London/Remote)

Job Description

We’re looking for a technically excellent paraplanner to join our Financial Planning Hub at Paradigm Norton. The Financial Planning Hub is a fantastic opportunity for a career paraplanner to champion and provide high-quality technical expertise and financial planning support.

Within the Financial Planning Hub, you will collaborate with a variety of client managers, working together to build and implement financial planning solutions to meet a variety of client needs and personal goals. You will also work closely with other members of the Hub team, developing resources and defining best practice to help support paraplanners across the business.

As part of the role, you will be involved in:

  • Producing high-quality client recommendations, covering a wide range of financial planning areas including pensions, investments, estate planning and protection.
  • Undertaking technical research and analysis for existing and new investment portfolios.
  • Providing technical support to client managers and other paraplanners.
  • Contributing to development of best practice within the Financial Planning Team.
  • Continuing your personal and professional development, maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation, investments, and technology.

Who would we like to join us?

We recognise that not every paraplanner wishes to become a client manager/adviser, and we can offer a different career path for those with a variety of skills and experience to bring to the table.

Technical knowledge / experience:

  • You’ll have excellent knowledge and experience of all areas of financial planning – cashflow planning, investment portfolio management, tax planning, pensions, protection, estate planning etc. having worked in a similar role for a minimum of 3 years.
  • You will be Diploma qualified as a minimum, if not already Chartered and/or Certified.
  • You will have a strong technology, problem-solving and mathematical aptitude.

We offer a generous and highly competitive salary (up to £43,000 outside of London, dependent on skills and experience), alongside financial support for further qualifications.
