Haven Paraplanning is an established business, recently based in Uckfield, East Sussex, that supports financial planners, advisers and wealth managers across the UK and abroad.

The Role
The role will involve preparation and maintenance of client files, research and preparation of recommendations as well as ongoing reviews, in line with company policy. It may also involve interaction with the company’s clients.

You will be required to:

  • Undertake product and investment research
  • Liaise with product providers and third parties to acquire information
  • Use analytical software and your experience to review clients’ existing plans
  • Obtain illustrations
  • Update model portfolios on investment platforms
  • Prepare clear, technically accurate and compliant reports
  • Prepare client reviews
  • Prepare and maintain detailed compliant client files and records within agreed CRM system
  • Record any client communication (written, oral or electronic)

The Candidate
* You will be a minimum Level 4 (Diploma) qualified with CII/CISI/LIBF and have at least 3 years’ experience within an IFA environment
* Ideally have experience in pensions and investments
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
* The ability to source, analyse and summarise information
* Knowledge and experience with financial services software (Selectapension, Cashcalc, FE Analytics, etc) would be a distinct advantage, but not essential as training will be given
* Be meticulous and analytical, with a high attention to detail
* Have a 'can-do' attitude

The Terms
* This is a freelance role. I anticipate around 20 hours per week will be needed to start with - flexible on days/hours
* Pay rate will start at £20-£25+ per hour, according to qualifications and experience
* A possibility to move to an employed position in the future, although this cannot be guaranteed
