IHT for cohabiting siblings

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the rules have been changed for long term cohabiting siblings in respect of IHT on death of one party? I understand the House of Lords were debating the matter ( Lord Lexden) as many cohabiting siblings are forced to sell the jointly owned property on the death of one party. From what I can see there is no IHT allowances for this (as there is for spouse/CP).

Hi,

There are no exemptions or allowances for cohabiting siblings. There was a lot of noise about it a couple of years ago, but nothing happened.
