Trainee Paraplanner progression scheme

We currently have 4 progression levels to reward trainee paraplanners when progressing to fully qualified paraplanner, each level introducing more complex skills with a salary increase for each level. Does anyone use something similar? Im wondering how many exams would be fair to expect for each level. I.e. 2 exams for level 2, 4 exams for level 3 and diploma for level 4.

Hi there,
We don't have anything similar, though do your trainees follow a set path through the exams? If so it makes it easy to have points where the increases could be offered, maybe after R01, then once R02 & 3 are complete, then after 4 & 5, then following 6. (if they're done in order...)
They don't follow a set path with regards which order they do the exams in, its more a case of how many exams to pass before each increase. So would it be realistic to move upto level 2 after 2 exams or would 1 exam be fairer to start with. Then 2 exams for level 3 and the remaining 3 exams for level 4. Its difficult to understand what the right balance is between learning the skills aswell as studying the exams.
