Picked up a client this week, who mentioned an old Abbey Life Pension Plan that has never been reviewed. Plan is 26 years old and client has actually lost money.

Yes, some of the charges on those old plans were akin to daylight robbery - I've seen more than one plan where the charges have completely wiped out the value of the plan
Wow, makes you wonder how Abbey Life had financial trouble with charges like this!
Because of the massive commissions they would have paid their sales force I guess!
For someone to be investing for 26 years, even at those charges, it is criminal that they have actually lost money. Just not fit for purpose.
