We need to switch off The Big Tent for a maximum of 48 hours next week so we can carry out some repairs and maintenance.

We are pleased to inform you of the release of a new Investment Bond Chargeable Event calculator.

This is geared towards more complex scenarios, such as encashment of multiple investment bonds in the same tax year. It can also take into account factors such as previous increments, segment encashments, policy loans, and different levels of withdrawals from individual segments. It will also calculate whether such encashments will incur a tax charge, based on current income. It will allow you to retain calculations and rerun them at a future date.

Also, we plan to add features to analyse how to extract a given amount of money from a collection of Investment Bonds in the most tax-efficient manner.

Looking for a bit of inspiration from you all on this, even if you'e not coming. Why aren't you coming?

We want to have 2 to 4 people doing 10-15 min fast paced slots on how tech can help with report writing. Got some ideas lined up but I'm looking for a bit more.

So, what do you think would be interesting?

Is there a person or firm who has some interesting ideas, tech, process that you use, know of, have heard of etc?

Is there a tech issue you have that you would love to know how to fix?

Is there something you use or do in your firm that is really good that you'd like to share?

I'm open to anything on this so all ideas welcome.
